Software Developer

HighByte is hiring a Software Developer focused on customer success to design, develop, and deliver industrial software products, primarily HighByte Intelligence Hub. Day-to-day work centers on triaging and resolving customer-reported issues, debugging complex problems across the product, and shipping high-quality fixes and improvements. You will partner with Customer Success to understand use cases, reproduce issues, design customer-specific enhancements, support testing and validation, and keep fixes well documented and production-ready. You also contribute to new product design and R&D as the company scales. Preferred skills include full-stack development (Java and React), REST, JSON, SQL, TCP/IP and security, tools such as IntelliJ, Maven, VS Code and GitHub, understanding of threading and synchronization, agile/SCRUM, and Windows/Linux. Familiarity with industrial automation, IIoT, analytics, and/or machine learning is a plus. Qualifications: bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or related field, and 2+ years of professional programming experience (B2B software preferred). Reports to Engineering Manager.
