Automation Engineer - EPMS Design

Albireo Energy is seeking an Automation Design Engineer to design, develop, and deliver automation and monitoring systems for mission-critical data center projects. This role spans Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and SCADA platforms, covering the full project lifecycle from engineering design and documentation through control system development and field commissioning. This role balances automation development with hands-on design. You will be expected to keep up with design tasks on your projects, including producing and revising drawing packages in AutoCAD, alongside your SCADA, PLC, and commissioning responsibilities. You will report to the Engineering Manager as part of a central engineering team supporting strategic projects nationwide. The posting notes willingness to travel approximately 25–50%, with heavier periods during commissioning, and work in a multi-location team. Employer salary information starts at $80,000 per year. Workplace is hybrid in Gambrills, Maryland, with additional listed locations on the board.
