Industrial Automation/PLC Engineer

North Point Technology is hiring a full-time Industrial Automation/PLC Engineer for Greater Binghamton, New York. Experienced industrial automation/PLC engineers are needed to program a variety of industrial control systems for clients in the U.S. and around the world. Requirements listed by the employer include U.S. citizenship; a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related degree with a minimum of 10 years of directly related work experience in industrial automation and control systems integration engineering; demonstrated skills using a variety of automation software tools to program PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems (Ignition software is a plus, as are other related industrial automation software certifications); experience managing technical projects (PMP certification is a plus); ability to travel regionally and to destinations in and outside the U.S. with a valid U.S. passport; ability to work flexible hours and overtime; and excellent communication skills, including presenting information in technical, sales, and marketing meetings as well as at trade shows and conferences.
