Senior Automation & Controls Engineer

Siemens Smart Infrastructure Change & Technology team in Pomona, CA seeks a Senior Automation/Controls Engineer to own site automation systems, technical architecture, and technology roadmap. Lead design, programming, commissioning, and support of PLC, HMI, and SCADA control systems. Drive automation projects including AMR, PLC, Andon, and digital manufacturing from concept through startup. Integrate robotics, machine vision, AMRs, and automated equipment. Advance IT/OT integration and MES/Edge applications using APIs, Node-RED, and modern software practices. Troubleshoot controls, networking, and automation issues; mentor engineers; establish standards; ensure safety, cybersecurity, and industry compliance. Requires bachelor's in engineering or related field, 5+ years industrial automation/controls, advanced Siemens PLC/TIA Portal/STEP 7, Node-RED/REST/Python/Java, SCADA/MES/Edge, and Profinet/Ethernet/IP/Modbus TCP/OPC UA/Profibus. Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
