Elipse Software is a Brazilian industrial software company headquartered in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. It develops real-time software for industrial processes, energy, sanitation, and infrastructure. The company states it has been in industrial automation and power generation, transmission and distribution (GTD) for 40 years, and that more than 53,000 copies of its systems are in use in various countries and applications. Besides its Porto Alegre headquarters (Rua Mostardeiro, 322, Moinhos de Vento), Elipse lists branch offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, and Curitiba, an office in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, and a sales office in Raleigh, North Carolina. It also lists partners in countries including the United States, Germany, India, Argentina, Chile, Peru, China, Thailand, Singapore, Portugal, and Vietnam. Elipse E3 is the company's HMI/SCADA platform for applications ranging from simple operator interfaces to complex real-time operation centers. Elipse describes it as a leading SCADA tool in the Brazilian market. Components include E3 Studio (the configuration and development environment, including multi-user editing), E3 Server (the application server, with redundancy and database synchronization, offered in 32- and 64-bit versions), and E3 Viewer (the operator client, including intranet/internet browser access, with Viewer Control and Viewer Only modes). Packages include E3 Lite for small processes, E3 Gateway for protocol translation—including energy protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/103/104, DNP3, and ICCP—and E3 Educational for teaching institutions. The E3 product page states connectivity with more than 400 devices and support for OPC Classic and OPC UA. Elipse's company page says its team develops communication interfaces end-to-end and currently maintains more than 500 drivers. Elipse Power is described as an integrated communication, modeling, and analysis environment that constitutes a modern EMS (Energy Management System) / ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) for generation, transmission, distribution control centers, and large industrial plants. Packages listed by Elipse include Elipse Power HMI (electrical modeling and supervision, including substation automation), Elipse Power Renewable (wind and solar plants), Elipse Power EMS (transmission and sub-transmission control centers), Elipse Power ADMS (advanced distribution automation and management; Elipse and partner presentations have described OMS integration and self-healing among its modules), and Elipse Power Industry (energy-intensive industrial plants). Elipse Plant Manager (EPM) is described as an Industrial DataOps platform for collecting, contextualizing, storing, visualizing, and analyzing industrial data. Collection interfaces listed on the product page include OPC UA/DA, Elipse E3/Power, E3 Gateway, relational databases via OLEDB (including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Microsoft Access), MQTT, and operating-system diagnostics via WMI. Related tools mentioned include EPM Studio, EPM Portal dashboards, EPM Add-in for Microsoft Excel, EPM Web API, Elipse Mobile, Elipse Trend Explorer, and third-party OPC UA clients. EPM Data Model can automatically replicate data structures from Elipse E3 and/or Elipse Power. Elipse Mobile provides mobile access to automation-system indicators and commands from smartphones, tablets, or a browser. Elipse states it integrates with Elipse E3, Elipse Power, Elipse Plant Manager, and Elipse SCADA, and can connect to other systems via OPC. Elipse Mobile Cloud hosts the Mobile server as a service through the Elipse Cloud Link driver; Elipse cites use by Cesama (Companhia de Saneamento Municipal) in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. Elipse Water is a SCADA platform aimed at water-supply and wastewater operations. Elipse describes hydraulic-network modeling, import/synchronization from GIS or existing hydraulic models such as EPANET, native sanitation objects, specialized analytics, measurement-and-control district (DMC) calculations stored in EPM, and integration with Elipse Mobile and Elipse ChatBot. The Elipse Water product page lists support for more than 490 protocols, including MQTT, Modbus, and OPC UA. In its Fenasan 2026 preview, Elipse also described Elipse Water working with Elipse Plant Manager 7.0's MCP Connector so operations and engineering teams can query historian and real-time network data using generative AI models compatible with the MCP protocol (examples cited include Claude and ChatGPT). Named customers on Elipse's company page include Elektro, CPFL, Cemar, Enel, Engie, Light, SuperVia, Sabesp, Petrobras, Itaú, airports, Grupo CCR, Votorantim, Bunge, Unimed, STIHL, TV Globo, and Taiwan Power Company. Elipse states it has been an official Microsoft partner since 1999 and describes a Microsoft Gold Partner certification on its company page; that it has been an OPC Foundation member for 27 years; and that it takes part in communication-interface certification processes for standards such as IEC 61850, DNP3, and BACnet. It works with a network of Solution Providers listed at https://www.elipse.com.br/parceiros/. Ricardo Haetinger, an electrical engineer from UFRGS, is listed as president and one of the founders.
