About the role
Festo Pte Ltd (Singapore) seeks an Application Engineer with a strong electric automation background to act as technical reference for customers. Provide technical consultation and conceptual solutions combining PLCs, motion, drives, and fieldbus technologies. Perform feasibility studies via sample setups, simulations, or calculations and integrate solutions into the customer's control environment. Implement complex motion tasks with electric drives. Support customers end-to-end from pre-sales proposals through post-sales commissioning advisory (remote or onsite). Partner with sales to uncover Electric Automation opportunities, support pricing based on value-add, and deliver internal/external training and workshops. Requires diploma or bachelor's in mechatronic, electrical, or mechanical engineering; 3–4 years factory automation experience commissioning PLC, electrical drives, and motors; knowhow of PLCs, motion, drives, EtherCAT/PROFINET/Ethernet/IP/OPC UA; programming experience preferably Siemens and Omron.
